Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website or use a web-based application. They allow the platform to recognise your device across sessions, remember your preferences, and understand how you interact with content.
Cookies are not harmful and cannot carry viruses or install software. They are widely used to make digital services work more efficiently and to provide information to site operators.
In addition to traditional cookies, we may use similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, and pixel tags. This policy covers all of these technologies collectively under the term "cookies".
Let's Watch uses three categories of cookies:
| Category | Purpose | Can be disabled? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Required for the platform to function. Includes session management, authentication, and security tokens. | No — the service cannot work without them |
| Functional | Remember your preferences such as bookmarks, playback position, and viewing history. | Yes — but some features will be unavailable |
| Analytics | Help us understand how users navigate and use the platform so we can improve the experience. | Yes — your browsing will not be tracked |
| Cookie Name | Category | Duration | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
mtz_session |
Essential | Session | Maintains your authenticated session while you are logged in. Deleted when you close your browser. |
mtz_auth |
Essential | 30 days | Keeps you signed in across browser sessions if you select "Remember me". |
mtz_csrf |
Essential | Session | Security token that prevents cross-site request forgery attacks. |
mtz_prefs |
Functional | 12 months | Stores your content preferences and playback settings (e.g. preferred categories, volume level). |
mtz_progress |
Functional | 6 months | Records where you stopped watching so you can resume from the same point next time. |
mtz_analytics |
Analytics | 13 months | Tracks anonymised usage patterns such as pages visited and features used to help us improve the platform. |
mtz_perf |
Analytics | 30 days | Collects anonymous performance data (load times, error rates) to identify and fix technical issues. |
We may allow select third-party service providers to set cookies on your device for analytics and platform performance purposes. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and are not permitted to use the data for any purpose other than providing services to us.
We do not allow third-party advertising cookies or social media tracking cookies on Let's Watch.
You can control and manage cookies in several ways:
Please be aware that restricting cookies may affect the functionality and personalisation features of the platform, including the ability to save bookmarks and resume viewing progress.
Cookies are either session cookies, which are deleted automatically when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain on your device for a defined period. The duration for each cookie we set is listed in the table in Section 3 above.
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Let's Watch currently does not alter its behaviour in response to DNT signals, as there is no universally accepted standard for how platforms should respond. We will revisit this position if a clear industry standard emerges.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or to comply with legal requirements. Any material changes will be communicated via a notice on the platform or by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
If you have any questions about our use of cookies, please contact us at mena@cs-sptwo.com. Our support team is available Monday to Friday during business hours.
